LPPA, Inc.

 

LPPA, Inc. represents the interests of the Specialized Instructional Support Services Personnel who work with the students and families of Lodi Unified School District (LUSD).  The Support Services Personnel of LPPA are better known as Credentialed School Nurses, Professional School Counselors, Program Specialists, School Psychologists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. All of these service professionals hold a specific, specialized credential, and most often, a related Master's Degree including required, supervised student contact hours prior to joining their respective profession. 

 

Beyond their partnership with students and parents, these specialized service professionals work collaboratively with one another, as well as other faculty and staff, to facilitate school success by addressing the specific needs of both general education and special education students, ages birth to 22 years.

 

The LPPA membership serves and supports the nearly 30,000 students of LUSD, which oversees more than 50 sites, including Pre-School programs, Elementary and Middle Schools, 4 comprehensive High Schools, 2 continuation High School programs, alternative education schools of choice, such as independent study and community day schools, Middle College High School (in partnership with San Joaquin Delta College), and programs for students with disabilities. 

 

Many of the specialized instructional support services provided by LPPA are required by state or federal mandate, and/or California Education Code, in an effort to meet the needs of the complex academic, communicative, social and emotional health and wellbeing of the 21st century student, while maintaining professional standards of service.
